Our History
Our "Design Distributor" business plan has its roots (since 1932) in our origins as manufacturers' representatives. As manufacturers' representatives we were required to have extensive knowledge of our business partners. We visit their facilities, determine core capabilities, work on the production floor, and meet the key contacts as part of our training.
"Design Distributor" Training
Clancey Hardware & Hinge is committed to extensive business training - 80 hours minimum annually - for our sales and customer service team members. We train to fully understand our business partners and develop business acumen. Training allows us to deliver suitable projects that match up with our partners' "sweet spots". We then leverage our relationships to assure that projects are completed successfully on budget, to specification and on time.
Business Acumen
Through work experience and training we place a strong emphasis on each team member increasing their business acumen. Our associates are empowered to make their own business decisions on customer projects by approaching all opportunities with integrity, and to focus on the relationship rather than the transaction. Through this development we have built the brightest, most responsive and creative team in our industry.
